Police forces around the world have been purchasing more and more supercars to keep up when situations call for the hot pursuit of criminals in wealthy areas. Some may argue that the most recognizable is Dubai’s Lamborghini Aventador that is frequently seen on the web. But now, the Dubai Police Department has purchased something that may have taken the cake for best in show police cruiser. According to a Nov. 6 article from Autoweek, the Dubai Police force has purchased a BRABUS G63S-700 Widestar.
The SUV is much like the Mercedes-AMG G55, only bigger and fiercer than ever. In the photos, you can see that the police SUV was suited in a wide body uniform that screams “enforcement.” It’s driven by a twin-turbo 5.5-Liter V8 powerhouse that produces 700 hp and launches the wagon from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The new crossover will be added to the department’s fleet alongside their other exotic vehicles, including a Ferrari FF and a Lamborghini Aventador. There’s no doubt that the fleet of exotics makes Dubai the last place for any Paul Walker wannabe to be racing around the streets.
